Tuition classification is governed by Colorado state law (CO Revised Statutes §23--7--101, et. seq.) and applies to all public institutions of higher education in Colorado. In-state tuition classification eligibility requires one year of Colorado domicile (legal residence). Exceptions to the domicile requirement are provided for specific populations as provided by law. Refer to the tuition classification website for further information about domicile exceptions. Further information about Colorado resident/nonresident regulations and requirements is available here.
