Let’s kick off the semester productively with our January Writing Retreat! Join other graduate students and hold each other accountable during our retreat that will provide the time, space, and community needed to focus on your academic writing, giving you momentum to stay on track through the spring semester. We highly recommend you attend all four days of this in-person retreat if possible. We will begin each morning with a brief programming from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. Topics for this retreat will include things like writing tips and tricks from the Writing Center, navigating procrastination, building sustainable habits, campus resources, etc. These are meant to offer tips to motivate you towards accomplishing your writing goals. The rest of the time each day will be dedicated to writing independently from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A writing consultant from the Writing Center will also be available for one-on-one meetings to workshop papers, chapters of dissertations and theses, or other drafts. If you are having trouble making dedicated time for your writing, this writing retreat is for you!
Coffee and light breakfast will be provided for those that RSVP. We hope you can attend all four days of the retreat.
Open to ALL graduate students!
