Whether you’re stepping into a mentoring role for the first time or looking to strengthen your existing skills, this virtual session will give you evidence-based tools to be a more effective, inclusive, and confident mentor.
Grounded in the CIMER Entering Mentoring framework, we’ll explore strategies for:
Building trust and strong communication
Aligning expectations and assessing understanding
Supporting both independence and connection
Fostering inclusive, relationship-centered practices
This workshop is especially recommended for graduate student peer mentors who could not attend the Grad Peer Mentoring Program Mentor Orientation, but it’s open to all graduate students interested in developing their mentoring skills.
