Beyond Impostor Syndrome: Building Confidence & Agency in Academia

Oct. 22, 2026
12 - 1:30 p.m.
via Zoom

Impostor Syndrome runs rampant across college campuses nationwide. Every month there is another lecture, workshop, or seminar on this topic, yet we are all still here...That ends today - This workshop is not going to tell you how to overcome Impostor Syndrome, manage Impostor Syndrome, or eradicate Impostor Syndrome. That's because Impostor Syndrome is just a label, not a diagnosis.  Join Leslie Blood, PhD, Director of Graduate Community and Program Development for a master class in confidence and agency.

If you want to explore why academia is a breeding ground for self-doubt, learn to reframe failure and embrace discomfort to build resilience; you're in the right place. Leave your judgment at the door, come with curiosity, and watch Impostor Syndrome self-destruct in real time.

This workshop is hosted by University of Colorado - Boulder and is being shared with other institutions across Colorado as part of the GradCO Consortium's Professional Development Series.
