The Graduate School hosts its ninth annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Final Competition on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom, from 4 - 6 p.m. Competitors will describe their complex research in three minutes, using only one static slide, in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.
The first-place winner will receive $1,500 in prize money and the opportunity to represent the university at the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) competition in April 2026. The runner-up will receive $750, and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500.
