3MT Final Competition

Please join us for the seventh annual 3MT Final Competition!
 

The Graduate School hosts its seventh annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Final Competition on Wednesday, Feb. 7, in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom, from 4 - 6 p.m. Competitors will describe their complex research in three minutes, using only one static slide, in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. 

The first-place winner will receive $1,500 in research funds and the opportunity to represent the university at the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) competition in early March 2024. The runner-up will receive $750 in research funds, and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500 in research funds.

We will offer a livestream of the event for anyone who cannot attend in-person. A zoom webinar link will be posted on the Graduate School's 3MT webpage the week of the event.
